If you’re using task management apps like Todoist, this can mean confusing schedules that affect everything from your ability to submit things on time or show up to meetings.
Why Changing Your Time Zone Matters
When working in a different time zone, it can get confusing. In some cases, you might put the right date, but forget to factor in the right time zone. For example, your boss may ask you to schedule something for 3pm, but you mistakenly book it for 3pm in your time zone instead.
With this, you can accidentally miss out on important time-based requirements, which can make you appear unprofessional or irresponsible. If you want to prevent this from happening, one way is to make sure that your task management tools reflect the same time zone as your managers or employers.
Change Your Time Zone on Todoist
To change your time zone on Todoist, here’s what you have to do:
Open your Todoist desktop app. Click your profile picture. Select Settings. Click General. Under Date & Time, go to Time zone. Choose your preferred Time zone.
If you aren’t sure what time zone to select, you can simply browse through the list of available countries available. In some cases, certain countries may not be listed, so you will need to select the nearby countries.
Alternatively, there are also plenty of websites online which you can use to use the time zone of any given country.
Don’t Let Time Zones Stop You
As remote work slowly becomes the norm, so do the complexities of having to manage multiple people, projects, and roles across countries. Thankfully, many of our tools like Todoist, can be customized to have fewer issues due to varied work hours.
