In 2021, the Switch played an important part in our lives, helping us relax after tough Zoom calls and bond with our friends alike. If you’re looking to find out more about your gaming habits throughout the year, here’s how.

What Is the Nintendo Switch Year in Review?

You can use the Nintendo Switch Year in Review if you have a non-supervised Nintendo Account registered in the US, Canada, or Latin America. Unfortunately, if registered elsewhere or as a child-owned account, you will not be able to try this feature out for now.

The Nintendo Switch Year in Review shows personalized statistics, including the following:

Total games Total hours Top games Monthly activity Most active day Play modes (Handheld versus Tabletop) Nintendo points earned

Here’s how to check your Nintendo Switch Year in Review for yourself.

Steps to Check Your Nintendo Switch Stats

To check your personalized annual Nintendo Switch stats, go to the Nintendo website. Log in with your Nintendo Account, which should be linked to your Switch.

Next, go to the Nintendo Switch Year in Review page. A slideshow will play, displaying your personal stats for the year.

After reviewing your stats, you will also have the option to pick your favorite game. Click Share and you’ll be able to download a personalized image featuring your username.

You can then share the image on social media, including Twitter, using the #NintendoSwitch2021 hashtag.

If your Nintendo account doesn’t qualify for the Year in Review feature, don’t worry. You can still view some of your gaming stats using your console or Nintendo app. For example, here’s a quick guide on how you can check your total play time across titles or profiles, at any time of the year.
