There are a lot of editing tools available that let you combine multiple videos together into one, whether you’re on Windows, Mac, iPhone, Android, or the web. You’re probably here because you don’t know where to start, so we’ve compiled this guide of four methods that you can use to combine your videos. Let’s jump right in.
How to Combine Videos on Windows
For Windows users looking to stitch multiple videos together, we recommend the built-in Photos app. It’s easy, free, and did we mention it comes pre-installed? It’s a totally hassle-free option, especially for users who aren’t very tech-savvy.
To combine videos on the Photos app:
Type Video Editor in your Windows search bar. Click on the Photos app in the results. Under the Video projects tab, click Create a video project. From your Collection, select all the video files you want to combine and click Create. Enter a name for your video project in the Name your video pop-up and click OK to continue. You are now in the video editing part of the process. Here, by default, Windows will only select short clips from each video you’ve chosen. To adjust them to the frames you’d prefer, click on each clip and select Trim. On the next screen, drag the sliders to adjust the video duration, then click Done. Repeat this process for all the selected video clips in the storyboard. Make sure to arrange the video clips from left to right, because Windows will combine them in that order. You can drag and drop each video forward or backward until you’re satisfied with the sequence. You can add text, filters, transitions, and effects to each video clip from the top menu bar. Add a soundtrack to your video via Audio, or simply select something from the preloaded music in the Themes tab. To keep the original audio from each video, select No Themes. Once you’re satisfied with all your choices, click Export or Share in the menu bar and choose your preferred file size. S files have the lowest quality and the fastest export time, L files have the best quality and take the longest to export, and M files are somewhere in the middle. Your video will be saved in the Exported Videos folder in Photos.

How to Combine Videos on Mac
Mac users can easily combine videos using iMovie. It’s the go-to video editing app for beginners because it’s super easy to use.
To combine videos on iMovie:
Open the iMovie app on your Mac. If it doesn’t come pre-installed, download it from the App Store. iMovie requires the latest macOS to work, so you may have to update your Mac before you can download it. Launch the app and click continue when you see Welcome to iMovie. Click on Create Project > Movie. From your collection, select the videos you want to combine, then click Create Movie. From the My Movie screen, select the videos you want to join on the timeline. Hold down the Command key to select multiple videos. Click Modify > Join Clips at the top to merge your clips into one. Here, you can also add transitions to smoothen the clips. Click Done after all your edits are completed, and Share to select where the video will be exported.

How to Combine Videos Online
There are numerous websites that provide tools for combining videos online, but they all have limitations. Because most of these sites provide the tools for free, they use their logos to watermark the final video. This watermark can only be removed if you subscribe to one of their premium plans.
So far, Clideo’s Merge tool is the top tool we recommend for online video editing. It’s feature-packed, easy to use, and capable of producing high-quality results. Plus, you don’t have to register to use Clideo, so your privacy is guaranteed.
To combine videos using Clideo Merge:
Launch the Clideo website on your browser. Click Choose Files, select your videos, and hit Open. You’ll be taken to a video editing screen. Clideo doesn’t allow in-app trims or cuts for each video clip, so make sure everything is just as you want it before uploading. Drag and drop the thumbnails to rearrange the video sequence. Pro Tip: check the Crossfade option under the Crop options tab to add a seamless transition effect to your videos. You can select the final video format and add audio from this screen. If you’d like to add an audio file as background music, ensure you have it downloaded before you start editing because Clideo doesn’t offer any tracks. You also get a tool that resizes the video for different platforms: YouTube, Instagram Story, Instagram Feed, and Facebook. When you’re done editing, click Export on the bottom right. Finally, hit Download to save your project to your device. If you want to make any last-minute changes, click Edit and you’ll be taken back to the Merge editor.
Heads up: the output video will bear Clideo’s watermark. If you’d prefer an online video editor without a watermark, check out Kapwing. You can download watermark-free videos if you sign up for a free account, and Kapwing offers more editing features than Clideo does.
How to Combine Videos on iPhone and Android
We recommend InShot as the best video editing app for Android and iPhone; it’s easy to use and packed with features. The app’s free version has some limitations, but it will get the job done.
To combine videos using InShot:
Download InShot from the Google Play Store if you’re on Android or the App Store if you’re on iOS. Launch the app and select Video. Select the video files you want to combine from your library. You should see the Editor screen where you can rearrange your video selection by long-pressing, add music, stickers, text, filters, splits, transition effects, and more. InShot is packed full of features, even the free version, so you can get very creative. You can also trim each video clip by holding and dragging its ends. When you’re satisfied with the results, tap the Save icon at the top right corner of the screen. Select your preferred resolution, frame rate, and output format and tap Save to export the file to your Library.
Keep in mind that InShot will add a watermark to your final video; the only way to remove it is to upgrade to Pro.
