Destiny 2 players will also need to complete Override missions and decrypt Umbral Engrams to get Splicer loot. For another challenge, players will also need to unlock the new Season of the Splicer Fusion Rifle, Null Composure.

Here are the eight seasonal challenges for week five of Season of the Splicer in Destiny 2:
Changing Views:
Destiny 2 players need to complete the Path of the Splicer V quest and defeat powerful Hive enemies to complete this challenge. As usual, players need to visit the Splicer Servitor in the HELM to begin the quest.
Bonus progress towards the powerful Hive kills can be earned by defeating Hive in Override: The Moon, which happens to be this week’s Override mission. Otherwise, players can find powerful Hive in Lost Sectors, Vanguard Strikes, and Gambit matches.
Expedited Expunge: Tartarus:
Destiny 2 players need to complete the new Expunge: Tartarus mission on Europa in six minutes or less for this challenge. Players will need to complete this mission as part of Path of the Splicer V, so once players complete it the first time, they can keep trying until they complete this challenge.
Players definitely need the Codestrider, Signal Booster, and Wirewalker Splicer Gauntlet upgrades to complete Expunge: Tartarus in under six minutes. Wirewalker will allow players to skip most of the beginning maze section in every Expunge mission, so it is well worth having for speedrunning these missions.
Crack and Decrypt II:
To complete this challenge, players need to open 30 Conflux Chests and Focus 30 Umbral Engrams at the Prismatic Recaster in the HELM to get Splicer loot. One Conflux Chest is found at the end of every Override mission and can only be opened using a Key Code crafted from Ether.
As for the Splicer-focused Umbral Engrams, players may need to use Decrypted Data to focus their Umbral Engrams into Season of the Splicer gear. Progress towards this challenge is retroactive, so some players may find they have already completed this challenge.
Grenade Launcher Splicer:
Destiny 2 players need to defeat enemies in Override and Expunge missions with special and heavy Grenade Launchers to complete this challenge. Bonus progress is awarded for getting multi-kills with Grenade Launchers. To complete this challenge quickly, players should use one breech-loaded special Grenade Launcher and one heavy one simultaneously.
For breech-loaded launchers, players could use Exotics such as Witherhoard and Fighting Lion. Legendary Grenade Launchers, including the Season of the Splicer kinetic launcher Ignition Code, or Empty Vessel, can drop from Strikes.
As for heavy Grenade Launchers, Anarchy is a great choice if players have a free slot for an Exotic weapon. Players should also try using the Breach and Clear mod from the Seasonal Artifact.
Apex Armorer:
For this challenge, players need to masterwork a piece of armor. This will require Ascendant Shards, which can be earned in high difficulty Nightfall Strikes or towards the end of the Season Pass.
Serenity of the Void:
To complete this challenge, players need to complete the Season of the Splicer ritual weapon quest, “A Sacred Fusion,” to unlock the Null Composure Fusion Rifle.
Beyond Legendary:
Destiny 2 players need to earn 16 Valor Ranks to complete this challenge. This means players will have to play many Crucible matches, and progress towards this challenge is not retroactive. Iron Banner is active for this week, which means bonus Valor is too, so players looking to complete this challenge should play enough Iron Banner matches to get some Pinnacle loot.
The Undying:
For this challenge, players need to complete a Nightfall Strike on Legend or higher without dying.
Destiny 2: Beyond Light and the new Season of the Splicer are available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
