To note, the Ori and the Will of the Wisps Lost Compass side quest originates from Tokk, a traveling blue bird who can be found near a windmill in the Wellspring area. Indeed, simply speaking with this NPC will start the Lost Compass quest, and players can begin their search for the item promptly thereafter.

How to Complete the Lost Compass Side Quest

Upon receiving this Ori and the Will of the Wisps side quest, players will be directed to a nearby building, and they should enter it upon arrival. Once inside, players should then make their way down and to the right, avoiding the array of obstacles that lie along the path, until they reach a switch. This switch should then be used to flip the area’s orientation four times.

At this point, reaching the lost compass in Ori and the Will of the Wisps requires players to navigate through a myriad of lasers, activating a series of switches along the way. As with the first switch, each subsequent switch is used to rotate the area, and players can reference the video below for a full walkthrough of this section.

Once all of this has been bypassed, players will finally find themselves standing in front of two gears stacked atop one another. A hole in the bottom gear can then be used to slip through, giving players direct access to the Iron Needle that is required to complete the Lost Compass side quest in this brand new Metroidvania.

From there, players must simply exit the building, and they will find that Tokk has come to meet them outside. All a player needs to do then is speak with the NPC in order to finish the quest and receive their reward: a Gorlek Ore that can be turned into Grom, a builder that is located in the Wellspring Glades, in exchange for his services.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps is available now for PC and Xbox One.
