But don’t fear. Here, we’re going to go through the process of connecting your Beats to your Mac device.

How to Pair Beats to Mac Devices

Unfortunately, there is no quick connection method for Mac devices, only for your iPhone. This means you’ll have to manually pair your Beats with your Mac through the settings, but don’t worry—it’s easy enough to do.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re using a MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Mac Mini, or Mac Pro, the steps are the same for all Mac devices.

Head into System Preferences from either the Apple menu or the dock. Once you’ve got the app open, click on the Bluetooth button. It’s the third icon down, and third icon in as well.

Your first step is to double-check that Bluetooth is actually turned on. If it’s off, click on the big Turn Bluetooth On button on the right-hand side of the window.

If you’re using Beats earbuds with a case, make sure the earbuds are inside the case. On the case or on your over-ear Beats headphones, press and hold the power button for about five seconds.

You’ll see the Beats device appear in the list of Bluetooth devices on the right-hand side of the screen. Click on your Beats device. You’ll see the name of your Beats move to the paired part of the list.

That’s it! Your Beats are now paired with your Mac, so you can connect to them and listen to music. If you’re not sure how to connect your Beats, keep reading.

How to Connect Beats to Mac Devices

After you’ve paired your Beats to your Mac once, you won’t need to do it again. Rather, you can just connect to the headphones and start listening—that part’s much easier.

Make sure Bluetooth is switched On on your Mac. Turn your over-ear headphones on, or place your earbuds in your ears. And that’s it! Your Mac should automatically connect to your Beats. You’ll hear a tone through the headphones once they are connected.

In case your Mac doesn’t automatically connect to your Beats, you can manually connect them. To do this, hit the Bluetooth icon in the Menu bar at the top of your device. Click the name of your Beats headphones. The device should turn blue on the list. Your Beats are now connected.

For some reason, if your AirPods do appear in the Devices list but don’t work, you can delete them and then re-pair them with your Mac. To do that, select them from the list and click the X to the right of the AirPods.

Listening to Your Beats

Now you’ve got your Beats paired and connected to your Mac, you’re ready to listen to anything! Your Beats will play audio from music, podcasts, or videos on your device.

And as one extra tip, your Beats will automatically disconnect from your Mac when you turn them off or take them out of your ears.
