Connecting Spotify to Alexa means you can choose your playlist, which speaker to play music from, and how long to keep the music going. By following these steps, it is now even easier to connect Alexa and Spotify.
1. Open Your Alexa App and Click More
The first step is to open the Alexa app for iOS or Android and click the More button on the bottom-right of your screen. Once you get to this page scroll down and click on Settings.
2. Click On Music and Podcasts
In Settings, next select Music and Podcasts. You will then be invited to Link New Service.
3. Linking Alexa to Spotify
When you see the Spotify logo on the link page follow the blue Enable to Use tab and you will be taken to your Spotify page. You’ll provide your Spotify account information to proceed.
Agree to the terms and conditions and you are all connected.
4. Make Spotify Your Default Service
Once your Spotify account is connected to Alexa, it’s worth your time to make it the default music service.
This will allow your Echo to connect to Spotify directly, taking away the “Alexa, play my Spotify…” request before then choosing the song or playlist.
When asked to select a default music service, click on Music & Podcasts in Settings, which will take you to Default Services.
In the Music section, click Change, and choose Spotify as your option.
Now you just have to build your playlist collection.
